Datacentrix Holdings' earnings will drop when it reports its annual results next month, says the listed IT company.
The news that headline and earnings per share would be between 30% and 40% lower caused its share price to lose 20% yesterday, to close at R4.
A year ago, the company said earnings and headline earnings per share had improved from 52c in 2008 to 61.5c.
Datacentrix did not provide any reasons for the fall in earnings, but is expected to report its results on 20 April.
In October, the company indicated a slowdown in government contracts had led to lower earnings.
Datacentrix earns 20% to 25% of its business from the public sector. The company designs, builds, implements, manages and maintains computer systems, networks and information environments.
