IT services and solutions provider Datacentrix triumphed at the recent 23rd annual awards for the Investment Analysts Society of Southern Africa (IAS), by receiving the Squirrel award for "Best Presentation to the Society (market cap below R5 billion)". The function recognises companies who have excelled in financial reporting and communication.
"By winning this award, Datacentrix has proven its position as the top communicator of the JSE within companies below the R5 billion cap," says Ahmed Mahomed, Datacentrix CEO. "To be the recipient of an IAS award is a sought-after accolade and is a positive reinforcement from the local investment community, which controls the voting process. This award will serve to encourage Datacentrix to raise the bar for years to come."
The Investment Analysts Society has over 2 000 members, comprising research analysts, asset managers, brokers and financial experts, employed at all the key financial houses in the country.
The awards are made based on the results gathered from questionnaires filled in by all IAS members and are subject to the final decision of the Executive Committee of the society.
