Financial institution, Teba Bank, recently enlisted the assistance of Datacentrix to standardise 350 tellers` workstations with Windows 2000 compliant hardware at the bank`s branches across SA.
The project, which was completed within the specified four-week period, was undertaken to satisfy needs arising from the implementation of Teba Bank`s new financial system, FLEXCUBE.
In accordance with Teba Bank`s preconceived plan for upgrading and enhancing its infrastructure, Datacentrix delivered and installed the replacement workstations after the ghost images of the hard drives had been created.
"We were able to incorporate Teba Bank`s migration plan to run both the legacy application and the bank`s new system," says Kobus Smith, Datacentrix account manager. He adds that because Teba Bank recognised its business requirements in advance, the specific plan made it simpler for Datacentrix to meet the tight deadline.
Hannes Potgieter, IT manager at Teba Bank, says the primary reason for choosing Datacentrix was its national footprint. "Datacentrix has offices within easy reach of Teba Bank`s branches, enabling fast and effective support when required," he adds.

He concludes: "This project has been extremely successful due to proper planning and co-ordination between our project managers and Datacentrix, enabling Teba Bank to complete the roll-out without any down time or disruption to our clients."
