DataCore release storage virtualisation
DataCore Software, a storage virtualisation software provider, is now offering SANsymphony-V, a next-generation storage virtualisation software that aims to enable virtualisation initiatives, says Channel Pro.
Two years in development, SANsymphony-V software looks to enable data-centres to use existing equipment and conventional storage devices to achieve the shared storage environment necessary to support dynamic virtual IT environments.
According to DataCore, the new software helps avoid the many performance problems caused by I/O bottlenecks and the lost business suffered from downtime that make customers hesitant to virtualise crucial business applications, such as mail and database systems.
Kaseya upgrades K2 platform
Kaseya has added new security, business continuity and discovery features on its K2 managed services platform, giving managed service providers more tools to take to customers, states CRN.
The new functionality is the most significant upgrade to the K2 platform since it was introduced last year, according to the company.
"When we introduced K2, part of that promise was to provide solutions you need to do day-to-day operations. You need the depth and breadth of functionality to deal with day-to-day pain points like patching, auditing," says Gerald Beaulieu, director of product marketing for Kaseya.
