Premier Internet service provider (ISP) DataPro has launched another value-added service offering for its clients with the introduction of its electronic document storage solution.
Carine Conradie, Marketing Manager of DataPro, said this is one of a slew of additional service offerings introduced by the company during the past few months - and forms part of the company`s stated mission to differentiate itself from other ISPs.
"It is actually a myth that we are using less paper in the digital age. The amount of paper being used per employee is actually on the increase." E-mail alone has raised the amount of paper used in the average office by 40% as people often print out their messages to read.
"The solution we are providing enables customers to convert scan large volumes of paper documents, while offering an off-site storage and distribution facility. The software features a simple but powerful Web-based engine for retrieval of any documents," says Conradie.
"The solution further more recognises certain customer fields on the document and automatically archives the documents in the appropriate folders. Thereby drastically cutting down on the amount of time spent on sorting and filing documents."
Late last year the company scored an industry first in the ISP sector when it introduced its Full Monty software suite. The Full Monty includes a workflow system, firewall, software to produce newsletters and marketing documentation, MailMarshal, a customer relationship management (CRM) solution, asset tracking, and a project management tool.
"We aim to become the ISP which connects the most businesses in this country. We believe it is important for us to offer our clients as many value-added solutions as possible if we are to meet this objective. Just providing reliable bandwidth is not good enough anymore."
