JSE-listed DataPro has reorganised its board after completing the Orion Telecoms deal.
The company told shareholders this morning it had appointed Dr Lulu Gwagwa and Thierry Dalais as directors. This follows Lereko Metier Capital Growth Fund's acquisition of 20% of DataPro Group as part of the company's vendor financing process.
DataPro recently acquired Orion for R380 million and the black economic empowerment company took a stake as a result of the fund-raising exercise.
Orion MD Jacques du Toit has also been appointed to the board after the successful completion of the Orion Telecom acquisition, while MJ Krastanov has resigned with immediate effect.
Dalais is executive chairman and a founder of the Metier Group and serves as a non-executive director of a number of listed and unlisted companies.
Gwagwa, CEO of Lereko, recently completed a five-year term as CEO of the Independent Development Trust, where she was tasked with its transformation from a grant-making to an implementation management agency.
Du Toit joined Orion in 1999 as business development manager and later became national sales manager, before being appointed to the board of an Orion subsidiary during 2003. In 2005, Du Toit acquired a shareholding in Orion and was appointed to the board.
