Datatec`s Logical, the professional services and IT network integration company, has been appointed by Ericsson as an 'Advanced Sales Partner` for its MD110 Enterprise PBX and Mobile Enterprise portfolios.
"The ability to access and use information from any location, at any time, has long been talked about as the Holy Grail for mobile professionals" says Mark Darvill, Director of Technology for Logical UK Limited. "However, only now is this capability becoming viable. Our partnership with Ericsson is focused on ensuring the delivery of reliable applications through the seamless convergence of the fixed wire and mobile worlds."
With these additions to its portfolio, Logical can now provide future-proof enterprise telephony solutions offering customers traditional PBX solutions or more advanced IP-based services. Logical is now able to provide seamless IP Telephony integration between fixed public, private and mobile telephony systems allowing enterprises to migrate towards IP and mobility while still protecting existing investment.
"These solutions will deliver improved efficiency, simplified usability and productivity gains to customers through the combination of additional applications such as Ericsson`s Unified Messaging and Mobile Extensions," says Darvill. "These new Ericsson offerings are applicable to both existing Ericsson customers and those with non-Ericsson PBXs."
The Mobile Enterprise product suite for which Logical has also been accredited as an Advanced Sales Partner includes EMO (Ericsson Mobile Organiser); Enterprise WAP Gateway, allowing secure data access and high data transfer rates; EVO (Ericsson Virtual Office); Secure WLAN technologies and Mobile Internet. The partnership combines the core technology strengths of Ericsson with Logical`s innovative solutions approach and proven competencies in implementing emerging technologies.
"Our partnership will enable both organisations to meet the growing demands of mobile professionals and make the mobile enterprise a reality for the business user," says Olof Aurell, Vice President Ericsson Enterprise - Western Europe.
