Dell acquires MessageOne

Dell has signed an agreement to acquire MessageOne, an provider of -as-a- (SaaS)-enabled enterprise-class e-mail business , compliance, archiving and disaster recovery services, reports Data Storage Connection.

The acquisition, for approximately $155 million, has been approved by the board of directors of each company and is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

MessageOne's suite of services helps eliminate the downtime and complexity associated with managing, archiving, e-discovery, and long-term storage of e-mail.

Kidaro unveils DR solution

Kidaro has unveiled the Kidaro Desktop DR (disaster recovery) solution for rapid disaster recovery of employee desktop access, says DABCC.

With the Kidaro Desktop DR solution, enterprises can maximise business continuity by distributing corporate-controlled virtual desktops on DVDs, USB drives, or over the Web.

Kidaro's virtual desktop platform enables secure employee access to corporate resources and data from their home PCs or recovery centre computers.

Continuity Software showcases solution

Continuity Software, a provider of disaster recovery management solutions, will showcase its RecoverGuard software and DR Assurance service at the upcoming Gartner Business Continuity Management Summit, states FOXBusiness.

Continuity Software will show how its RecoverGuard software provides a heightened level of insight into data protection and disaster recovery environments that is unmatched in the industry.
