Dell expands SME portfolio

Dell India has expanded its small and medium enterprise (SME) segment portfolio in the country with the addition of PowerEdge servers, PowerVault storage and PowerConnect networking solutions, states The Times of India.

According to the company, PowerVault storage, PowerEdge servers and PowerConnect networking solutions aim to help SMBs integrate their current infrastructure for greater productivity.

The company has also revealed the global availability of Dell OEM Microsoft System Centre Essentials 2010, which helps customers consolidate servers, proactively monitor systems, and manage hardware, software and services through a unified console.

Marathon ships data centre software

High-availability application provider Marathon Technologies started shipping a new version of its everRun MX Extend data centre software that integrates natively with CA Technologies' replication, reports eWeek.

The new version consists of Marathon's basic fault-tolerant SMP package, everRun MX, but it now integrates directly with CA's ARCserve replication feature to provide 24/7 application availability.

Marathon, which has more than 3 000 enterprise customers worldwide, claims to provide business continuity with everRun MX Extend by combining fault tolerance and disaster recovery into the same package.

STME, a leading information infrastructure solution integrator in the Middle East, held an event for customers to highlight the changes since its acquisition in late 2009 and showcase its 'one smart solution' concept, says AMEinfo.com
