Anne Bennett, partner in charge of the international tax division, has been elected to the Board of Deloitte & Touche, South Africa. A qualified attorney, Bennett has been a member of the tax division since 1987 and has held the position of tax partner since 1993.
She has extensive experience in advising multinational groups and South African companies that have global interests, on the financial and international tax implications of structuring investments and trading operations across international borders.
Anne holds a number of overseas qualifications in tax law, and has had practical working experience in the international tax field in the UK and Europe as well as Southern Africa.
"Anne`s appointment is a milestone for us at Deloitte & Touche because she is a highly talented tax professional and the partners have acknowledged this by electing her. In addition our total female staff complement is now 839 individuals, of which 25 are partners, representing 12% of our total partner base.

According to Deloitte & Touche, non-executive Chairman, Tim Store, Bennett`s election is a result of the high credibility she enjoys amongst her fellow partners and for the positive contributions she has made toward servicing clients and developing the local tax practice.
