Dimension Data's Microsoft Solutions business is developing its employees through training and certification on Microsoft server technologies.
The company says during the remainder of 2010, a number of Dimension Data Microsoft specialists around the world will attend the intensive three-week courses.
The Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) series offers training and certification on Microsoft server technologies to seasoned IT professionals.
There are five MCM certifications in the programme, namely: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008: Directory.
The programme includes three computer-based tests, one lab-based exam, and costs R250 000 per delegate.
Carlos Gouveia, Microsoft Solutions sales manager at Dimension Data SA, says messaging and collaboration have become business-critical components of any modern organisation.
The communications and collaboration environment is far more intricate than many give it credit for, he points out. “Simply reading an installation guide does not reveal the complexity or even the potential of the solutions,” he adds.
