DiData wins Cisco UCS tender

Dimension Data has been awarded the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) tender with Deakin University, reports ARN.

“The UCS platform is expected to bring significant benefits to the university,” says Simon Mills, Deakin University networks manager. The university has campuses in Geelong, Melbourne and Warrnambool in Victoria.

The solution will bring the university's centres into a unified architecture, through consolidation and virtualisation of computers and storage resources. The intent is to maximise resources while shifting the department from IT maintenance to technology innovation.

Syntel, Mega partner

Syntel has signed a partnership with Mega to provide enterprise solutions to Syntel customers worldwide, says MarketWatch.

The agreement states that Syntel will provide technology-based services for Mega's GRC suite of products including its existing portfolio of operational risk services. The companies will deliver integrated, streamlined solutions to address governance, risk and challenges.

Prashant Ranade, Syntel CEO and president, says: "Today's enterprises must be more attuned than ever to issues of risk and compliance. The combination of Mega Suite products and Syntel's team of specialists will help our clients make better business decisions and transform risk management to a proactive model, reducing exposure to possible loss."

Marketo unveils EA market automation

Marketo has released Lead Management Spring 2010, which the company says is enterprise architecture (EA) for marketing automation, writes PR Newswire.

"With the release of Lead Management Spring, we are now in an even better position to offer our enterprise clients the ease of use and flexibility they expect with Marketo," says Phil Fernandez, president and CEO of Marketo.

The company touts the software to be optimised for security, scalability and integration, with a focus on promoting market for organisations of all sizes.
