Dimension Data has entered a global technology and procurement contract with a large multinational.
Investor relations spokesman Bronwyn Goeller says the group will announce details only later this week.
She says only that the contract is on a global basis over three years.
Dimension Data announced last week that its global training IT arm, Dimension Data Learning Solutions, had entered a global partnership with the Computing Technology Industry Association, CompTIA.
Dimension Data`s Asian subsidiary, Datacraft Asia, last week reported an interim operating profit of $6.5 million after tax and minorities, excluding goodwill amortisation and exceptional items, on revenue of $217.5 million.
Although the results were substantially down on the year-earlier period, they were in line with the company`s revised forecasts made last November.
The Dimension Data share was trading at R14.70 on the JSE this morning, 20c or 1.38% higher than Friday`s close. Friday`s closing price of R14.50 was 4.6% lower than the previous week`s close.
