Dimension Data today announced that it intends to acquire Bellerephon Group Pty Limited, an Australian IT consulting organisation that designs, plans and delivers Microsoft IT infrastructure and management solutions.
Bellerephon is a leader in the deployment and management of the Microsoft server and desktop environment, developing re-usable intellectual property (IP) that can be applied in multiple corporate customer environments. Its repeatable solutions utilise packaged and templated IP, which results in both a reduction of deployment time and costs for clients.
Curt Wheadon of Dimension Data commented: "Bellerephon`s IP complements Dimension Data`s current capabilities and will enable us to upgrade our clients` Microsoft technology more efficiently and cost-effectively. Bellerephon`s customer engagement model for the planning, deployment and management of Microsoft solutions aligns closely Dimension Data`s plan, build and support strategy."
Bellerephon uses a combination of smart technology, well defined and documented processes, embedded logic, template-driven documentation and skilled resources to engage with customers in the planning, design and delivery of management systems. Bellerephon maintains a centralised library of packaged applications, certified for Windows XP, which will enable a consistent delivery of managed infrastructure solutions.

Bellerephon`s primary focus is on management of the Microsoft server and desktop environment; however, its solution set is extensible to other technology platforms. Key areas of focus include:
* Managed desktop deployment
* Systems Management Server (SMS) deployment for server and desktop management
* Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) deployment for server monitoring and alerting
* Patch management
* Extension of SMS to non-Microsoft platforms
* Monitoring plug-ins to MOM for non-Microsoft devices
* Bellerephon`s solutions are highly modular and can be deployed as a combined management solution or as individual components addressing specific areas, such as patch management for example.
