Dimension Data announced today it has won Microsoft Partner of the Year 2011 awards, at the annual Microsoft Partner Awards event, in the desktop, virtualisation and unified communications categories.
The company was honoured among top local Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of client solutions based on Microsoft technology. The awards were presented during the Microsoft Tech-Ed Africa and Partner Summit 2011, being held in Durban, from 17 to 20 October.
Bradley Bunch, General Manager: Microsoft Solutions, Dimension Data Middle East and Africa, says: “We are seeing significant growth and interest in Microsoft solutions as clients look to support virtualisation on their journey to cloud computing. These awards are not only testament to the significant investment we're making in skills, but also to our ability to guide and assist our clients on the journey to the cloud.”
Microsoft Partner Awards were presented in multiple categories, with winners chosen from a multitude of entrants across South Africa. Dimension Data was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services in desktop, virtualisation and unified communications, which honours partners that have delivered world-class solutions to manage physical and virtual infrastructures across data centres, client computers and devices.
These awards recognise Dimension Data for enabling clients to achieve their business objectives, such as reducing costs, improving application availability, and enhancing service delivery. “Dimension Data has dramatically transformed clients' IT infrastructures, resulting in greater operational efficiencies and automation of tasks,” Bunch adds.
“Microsoft is pleased to distinguish Dimension Data as a winner in the desktop, virtualisation and unified communications categories,” says Mark Reynolds, Head of Small Business, Mid-Market and Partner Division, at Microsoft South Africa.
“Dimension Data's experience and depth of skill has enabled users to manage both physical and virtual infrastructures, while reducing hardware and IT labour costs. By effectively utilising Microsoft's suite of desktop and virtualisation products and technologies, Dimension Data allows clients to simultaneously improve multiple infrastructures for data centres, client computers and devices.”
The Microsoft Partner Awards recognise Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year.
