Facebook may soon need to add "Just got served divorce papers" to its list of relationship statuses now that a New York judge has said the social media site is an acceptable way for a Brooklyn woman to serve her husband with a summons for divorce.
Ellanora Arthur Baidoo has been trying to divorce her husband for several years, according to her attorney, Andrew Spinnell. But, Spinnell said, he and his client haven't been able to find Victor Sena Blood-Dzraku to serve him the papers.

PayPal, eBay stay interdependent
PayPal, eBay's electronic payments division, said the firms had agreed eBay would not reduce the volume of transactions it channels through PayPal, while continuing to get better rates for its merchants for five years after the two split.
PayPal is expected to be separated from eBay's marketplace division in the second half of this year, creating a publicly traded company, which some analysts say will be worth $40 billion.

Pepper-spraying drones
Indian police are to start using pepper-spraying drones to control unruly crowds of protesters. Officials described the drones as a "non-lethal but very effective" method of "mob control".
According to AFP, police in the north Indian city of Lucknow, which has a population of two million, have already successfully trialled the aircraft and given them the thumbs up.

Tumblr autonomy may be curtailed
Tumblr could see its autonomy from Yahoo curtailed as major personnel changes may be headed its parent company's way, The Information reported on Tuesday.
During a meeting last week, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer encouraged Tumblr's chief executive David Karp to decide which Yahoo senior VP he would like to report to, suggesting a broader integration of the two companies, the report said.

Apple LGBT emoji
The latest wave of diverse emoji has launched on Apple iOS devices, bringing an array of LGBT pictograms to the platform, along with new symbols, pictures, and icons.
These new representations come as part of iOS 8.3, which is now live. A manual check of the system software should find it if it hasn't yet been automatically pushed out.

Xiaomi sets Guinness World Record
Xiaomi - the Chinese smartphone manufacturer known for allegedly copying Apple's iPhone designs - has set a Guinness World Record for selling the most smartphones ever in one day.
The company announced during its Mi Fan Fest this week that it sold 2.11 million phones in 24 hours, raking in $355 million in sales revenue.
