Don`t get stuck with just any old printer

Johannesburg, 19 Oct 1998

To further boost the take-up of its 24 to 40 page per minute (ppm) DocuPrint laser printer family, Xerox Channels Group (XCG) is offering customers up to a $1000 cash bonus for their old laser printer when standarising on the Xerox brand.

"When you buy one or more qualifying Xerox DocuPrint departmental printers, we`ll purchase your old printer in return, regardless of the manufacturer and either recycle it, or dispose of it environmentally.

"One printer can be traded in for each new Xerox printer purchased, its value determined by the choice of the new DocuPrint printer you buy," says Angie Samuel, marketing manager of XCG.

"It`s quite a simple procedure: after Xerox has received the required documentation, the shipping agent will contact you to arrange the collection of the old printer. After the printer is received, Xerox will either process it using electronic funds transfer, or send a cheque for the trade-up value," adds Samuel.
