
Dorado patents cloud-based workflow tech
The US Patent and Trademark Office issued a notice of allowance to cloud computing software developerDorado, clearing the way to issue a patent for its method to process loan applications, according to Housing Wire.
Dorado filed the 14-page patent application for 'Dynamic Workflow Architectures for Loan Processing' in April 2006.
"This patent...validates the unique value of Dorado's approach to managing complex, data-intensive transactions in the cloud," says Rob Carpenter, Dorado CTO, and an applicant on the patent.
BPM comes to mainframe users
Active Endpoints, the BPM systems provider, and GT Software have embarked on a marketing partnership designed to increase awareness of the importance of mainframes in BPM, according to Earth Times.

Partnership for BPM grad programme
Gempact, a player in the BPM space, and Shoolini University have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop a customised MBA programme in the BPM domain, states Indian Express.
This partnership aims to integrate the expertise, experience and unique capabilities of both Genpact and Shoolini University to develop and impart an industry-specific graduate programme to students.
Shoolini University, a private university in Himachal Pradesh, and Genpact have partnered with the objective to develop and implement a management graduate programme based on the requirements of Genpact as well as the broader Indian outsourcing sector.
