Dunst joins Altierre's board
Altierre, a provider of wireless dynamic pricing solutions for retailers, announced today that veteran retail technology expert and former Albertson's CIO Robert Dunst, has joined the company's board of advisors, according to Market Wire.
"Bob is recognised as a visionary leader in identifying and implementing breakthrough technologies for large retail chains and is a perfect fit for Altierre," said Altierre chairman and CEO Sunit Saxena.
Altierre's proprietary hardware and software platform is designed to solve critical problems for large retail chains.
FD Systems acquires BGM
According to ic Wales, technology company FD Systems has acquired a rival based in Milton Keynes. FD Systems, headquartered in Cardiff, expanded its network with the acquisition of BGM Business Solutions.
BGM specialises in retail and point of sale projects and has more than 20 years experience working in the retail sector globally.
Its merchandise management system SQL-Retail is used by several major retailers in the UK including Stylo Barratt Shoes, Tie Rack and Alexon.
Stoneleigh hotel selects Maestro
The Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa in Dallas, Texas, opened on 3 March with the full suite of Maestro property automation tools on one database to streamline total property operations, says Hotel & Motel Management Magazine.
Stoneleigh implemented Maestro PMS, Sales and Catering, Spa and Activity Management, Retail POS, Fine Dining POS, Yield Management, ResEze Web booking engine and Maestro Analytics Business Intelligence.
