EA rolls out mobile sports titles

The EA Mobile division of Electronic Arts has unveiled three EA Sports titles for mobile phones such as Madden NFL 09, NCAA Football 09 and EA Sports Nascar 09, says IGN.

"EA's sports titles are some of our most popular games across all platforms, including mobile," says Adam Sussman, vice president of publishing for EA Mobile, "Players will notice the great detail we've put into the games to make them as authentic as possible, including the use of motion capture technology for realistic movements and up-to-the-minute commentary by well-known sportscasters."

Madden NFL 09, NCAA Football 09 and EA Sports Nascar 09 are currently available for purchase in North America.

World of Warcraft update due in November

Blizzard Entertainment reveals that World of Warcraft (WOW): Wrath of the Lich King will arrive 13 November, says PC World.

The expansion is the second for WOW, which to date has amassed 11 million subscribers.

A standard edition will include the game and a collector's edition will include a 208-page art book; an in-game baby frost wyrm pet; a behind-the-scenes DVD; the official soundtrack; a mouse pad featuring a map of the continent of Northrend; and two trading cards.

Antec unveils notebook cooling solution

Antec, global provider of high-performance components for the gaming, PC upgrade and do-it-yourself markets, has introduced the Notebook Cooler 200, a cooling solution specifically designed for high performance laptops, reports Tweak Town.

The Antec Notebook Cooler 200 sits underneath laptops of all sizes and keeps the hardware cool, supporting system stability and a longer lifespan. It comes with a 200mm fan with two speed settings - 400 or 600 RPM.

"With the increasing power, performance and functionality of today's laptops, more and more gamers choose a notebook as their primary gaming platform," says Scott Richards, senior vice president at Antec.
