
ECM providers drive open source
Open source enterprise content management (ECM) provider, Alfresco Software, has partnered with Caringo, a content storage software provider, says PRWeb.
The two companies have jointly developed a solution for managing and storing content for billions of files and petabytes of data.
Developed by XeniT, a partner of both companies, the Alfresco2CAStor connector is now available on Alfresco Forge, and Caringo is offering a free download of its CAStor content storage software for up to 4TB capacity.
OutStart releases LCMS
OutStart has unveiled its next-generation learning content management system (LCMS), called OutStart LCMS 2009, which took two years to develop, according to Chief Learning Officer magazine.
Massood Zarrabian, CEO and president of OutStart, says: “The demand for LCMS technologies has grown even in a tough economy. Organisations realise that LCMSs enable managers to react quickly to today's changing business environment.”
OutStart LCMS serves as the single-source hub for building learning modules. These modules can be used for online and mobile learning to instructor and student guides, assessments and surveys.
Hannon Hill boosts solution
Hannon Hill, Web content management solution developer, has rolled out the latest version of its content management solution, Cascade Server, reports PRWeb.
Highlights of the Cascade Server 6.2 release include major enhancements to the system's site content model, added script formatting capabilities, and usability improvements to tools such as the system's folder-copy functionality.
Bradley Wagner, Hannon Hill director of engineering, says: "We've really rounded out the capabilities of sites with Cascade Server 6.2. The features in this release provide an elegant and effective way to effectively manage multiple Web sites in Cascade."
