EDS has announced the new releases of its industry solutions built on the flagship product lifecycle management (PLM) portfolio, Teamcenter*, including enhanced versions of Teamcenter Aerospace and Defense, Teamcenter Automotive Supplier and Teamcenter High Tech Electronics, and the launch of a new industry solution, Teamcenter Consumer and Packaged Goods. Each of the four packaged industry solutions can be deployed quickly and cost-effectively for fast time-to-value.

Teamcenter industry solutions are developed in collaboration with industry leaders such as Northrop Grumman in aerospace and defense and Procter & Gamble in the consumer packaged goods industry. The solutions are built on the new, consolidated Teamcenter platform, which provides the PLM digital enterprise backbone for industry and business process domain solutions.

Teamcenter Aerospace and Defense
Teamcenter Aerospace and Defense enables global program and team collaboration to manage extremely complex products, long development cycles and stringent processes. The new release of Teamcenter Aerospace and Defense features a secure, Web-native environment with PLM capabilities for program-driven change and configuration management, audit management, scheduling, document management and CDRL/SDRL data management.

Teamcenter Automotive Supplier
Teamcenter Automotive Supplier provides automotive suppliers worldwide with an enterprise-wide process and information backbone to improve execution in business domains including new business procurement, product design and standards compliance.

The new release of Teamcenter Automotive Supplier includes the ability to manage a single shared bill-of-material (BOM) integrated with computer-aided design (CAD) and visualisation information to eliminate BOM conflicts and confusion. Additionally, it provides expanded RFQ, RFI capabilities and improved support for ISO standards such as PPAP and AQP so that automotive suppliers and their customers can collaborate on product information, development, tooling and delivery processes online.
Teamcenter Consumer and Packaged Goods
Leveraging brand equity and intellectual capital, Teamcenter Consumer and Packaged Goods reduces total delivered cost associated with new product launches by accelerating the artwork and package design and approval process on both new and existing concepts. This solution also enables suppliers, business allies, and customers to collaborate in a web-centric extended enterprise across all stages of the product lifecycle.

Teamcenter High Tech Electronics
Teamcenter High Tech Electronics enables companies to leverage existing enterprise assets to bring products to market faster while reducing material and manufacturing costs. Utilising enhanced enterprise digital collaboration and systems integration, this solution promotes the use/reuse of standard components and suppliers.
The new High Tech Electronics` release includes part classification and component library management, vendor management with Approved Vendor Lists, table-driven BOM editing, graphical lifecycle display and Mentor Graphics support in addition to existing CADENCE and InterComm integrations.
"Teamcenter High Tech Electronics provides one integrated, Web-native environment where global teams in technology companies can manage all of their mechanical, electrical and software design product information.
