Client confidence, excellent service delivery creates business opportunities with new and existing clients
EDS today announced it closed the first quarter of 2004 with strong sales activity, signing approximately $1.3 billion in contracts globally during the last week of the quarter. The contracts are primarily medium-sized deals as a result of add-on and renewals from existing EDS clients.
"This is a strong indication that expanding our sales focus to include more medium-sized contracts is paying off for EDS," said Michael Boustridge, division vice president, EDS Global Sales and Client Solutions. "Our streamlined Service Delivery organisation, combined with our Best ShoreSM strategy, is allowing us to drive costs down and be competitive as we renew and add on to existing business and win new contracts."
