The Media-Link Digital Entertainment Receiver offers users more than just a link between a PC and a home entertainment centre. Media-Link turns PCs into digital jukeboxes that can send movies, music and photos to any TV or stereo in the home or office. Edutain will demonstrate the benefits of its new Media-Link Digital Entertainment Receiver at Futurex on 17 to 20 May 2005.
The Media-Link Digital Entertainment Receiver offers an easy "universal plug-and-play" installation enabling consumers to use these capabilities simply by connecting Media-Link to their home network or optional wireless network adapter.
Once connected, users are no longer restricted to viewing and listening to their digital multimedia files at their desk. The Media-Link receiver identifies PCs on the network and provides instant, remote control access to their stored entertainment files. Users can access recorded TV shows, movies and photo slide shows on the TV in their living room, family room or bedroom, and can enjoy their MP3 audio collection on any connected stereo - all without moving the PC or carrying discs from room to room.
Designed for scalability, Media-Link can be used to deliver entertainment from up to 14 PCs on the network. When more than one Media-Link is connected to a single PC, users can stream content to several rooms in their home or office simultaneously.
Video playback of the highest quality is assured with composite, S-Video, Component Video and DVI video outputs. Audio is reproduced in the greatest fidelity with Stereo and SPDIF (Digital Optical and Coaxial) audio outputs. To ensure all of the leading digital entertainment options can be displayed, Media-Link supports playback of MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, MOV and AVI video files, MP3, AC3 and WMA audio files as well as JPEG, GIF and BMP image files.
ADS Tech`s Media-Link Receiver will be available through Edutain Distribution`s network of distribution channels nationwide. The Media-Link Receiver comes with a remote controller and a wall-mount AC adapter.
