Eizo invites local market to get to grips with touch-screen LCD technology

Johannesburg, 29 Apr 2004

The local market will soon be in a position to benefit from the latest in liquid crystal display (LCD) touch-screen high-end display technology from international developer of display monitor technology and peripherals Eizo.

The touch-screen offering is available through Eizo`s FlexScan Touch Panel monitor range which houses a number of benefits including: advanced touch panel, colour control, analogue/digital flexibility, product information display, security lock support and regulatory standards.

The infrastructure is targeted at mainstream commercial markets such as retail, transport, banking, medical and industrial, and will be distributed through Annex Distribution.

"This technology will be of tremendous benefit to many industries across horizontal and vertical markets. Touch-screen is a popular communication device abroad and is usually placed in key areas such as information kiosks, within factories and public areas in order to reach the maximum audience. As with overseas markets, the South African consumer is beginning to appreciate the benefits of LCD, technology that is well on its way to becoming the standard within the monitor market," comments Bill Gradwell, General Manager at Annex Distribution.
