Embarcadero named one of Intelligent Enterprise`s Companies to Watch

Johannesburg, 09 Jan 2003

Embarcadero Technologies has been chosen to Intelligent Enterprise Magazine`s Companies to Watch as a strong contributor to the development of intelligent enterprises. Embarcadero was one of 12 companies chosen in the Infrastructure sector, alongside Hitachi, Dell Computer and Hewlett-Packard, among others.

The companies chosen are the leaders in providing IT products that help organisations achieve competitive advantage by gathering, analysing, sharing and acting on intelligence. The selection process involved reader feedback and research by the Intelligent Enterprise editorial staff. Results were based on the relevance to and potential impact on four strategic IT sectors: intelligence, integration, infrastructure and collaborative commerce.

"Embarcadero has shown its ability in helping companies develop and maintain a smarter, faster and more profitable infrastructure," says Justin Kestelyn, editor-in-chief of Intelligent Enterprise. "We look at technology leadership, innovation and satisfaction, and sheer influence in areas key to the development of -rich, value-generating IT solutions in order to select companies like Embarcadero."

"It is gratifying for Embarcadero to be chosen in Intelligent Enterprise`s Companies to Watch," says Alan Raubenheimer, CEO of Embarcadero Africa. "The magazine`s editors and readers have recognised Embarcadero`s ability to provide key solutions to support a growing and complex infrastructure."

In-depth features about the Companies to Watch will appear in the 1 January 2003 edition of Intelligent Enterprise, and on the Web at http://www.IntelligentEnterprise.com.
