Fujitsu Siemens Computers` new LIFEBOOK S7210 is a new professional notebook on the market, optimised for superior performance and reliability while travelling.
It uses UMTS/HSUPA for fast data transfer, with the integrated UMTS setting the standard for fast and simple mobile Internet access.
In the past eighteen months since this technology has been available, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has become the European market leader in notebooks with integrated UMTS.
The LIFEBOOK S7210 - with EcoButton
Weighing only 2.2kg, the LIFEBOOK S7210 is one of the lightest 14.1-inch notebooks with a modular bay.
The Intel Centrino Duo processor technology with Intel 965GM chipset enables efficient multitasking and significant increases in productivity. Integrated WLAN and Bluetooth, as well as UMTS/HSUPA, ensure high-speed Internet access.
The LIFEBOOK S7210 operates for an entire work-day due to its second battery and standard EcoButton which, when pressed, reduces the processor clock frequency and monitor brightness. This further extends battery lifetime by 10%.
Market leader with integrated UMTS
Andrew Tsobanoglou, Product Manager of Professional Products at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, says: "We want to offer our customers notebooks with innovative technology to make mobile computing as simple, fast and secure as possible. This is why we developed features such as the spill-proof keyboard and the EcoButton. The spill-proof keyboard protects the notebook against fluid which could damage the device, and the EcoButton saves power and also protects the environment.
We are especially proud of the fact that Fujitsu Siemens Computers offers the widest portfolio of notebooks with integrated UMTS on the market. We are certain that this technology will make mobile computing significantly more popular, and analysts have confirmed that we have a noticeable lead in development."
