Milestone Systems, a global leader in open platform IP video management software (VMS), has awarded EMC the Milestone Technology Partner of the Year award for 2014/15.
The award recognises the collaborative effort put in by EMC and Milestone Systems to implement an EMC Isilon Scale-out NAS video surveillance solution to host all the video footage for Steyn City, the parkland residence which connects Fourways to Lanseria, Broadacres and Midrand. Spanning 200 acres of land, Steyn City is being developed to create the largest parkland residence in South Africa.
Michael Metcalfe, Channel Business Manager for Milestone Systems Southern Africa, says: "Our focus for 2015 is 'The Power of Partnerships' and how working together means we are striving towards the ultimate objective of winning together. We want to work with our valued partners and support them in achieving their business goals. Our collaborative project with EMC Southern Africa is a fine example of how our objective can be achieved."
As a market leader, EMC teams with industry-leading VMS vendors like Milestone Systems to provide proven, end-to-end solutions designed to address video surveillance security and data storage needs. The company's joint solutions are tested and certified at the EMC eLab, which is renowned for conducting rigorous interoperability testing.
EMC's video surveillance solutions provide powerful, scale-out storage and are simple to install, manage and scale to virtually any size, regardless of how the customer's surveillance needs change in the future.
With scale-out network attached storage (NAS), organisations have scope for their video surveillance data storage needs - more than 50 petabytes of capacity per cluster in a single file system. More cameras can be brought online, and surveillance hours expanded, as needed.
