EMC Corporation extended its storage software lead in the first quarter of 2004 to 30.1% revenue share, according to data released today by IDC.
On a year-over-year basis, EMC continued to outpace the worldwide storage software market with 35.4% revenue growth and gained more revenue share than any other major supplier.
Based on IDC`s first quarter estimates, EMC also grew year-over-year revenue faster than its closest competitors in the three major storage software segments including storage resource management (SRM), replication and backup/archive.
