Diskeeper Corporation has released ' Undelete' file recovery software.

According to the company, Emergency Undelete makes it possible to recover vital files that have been accidentally deleted, such as important tax documents that would be a catastrophic loss to personal finances.

Originally only available as part of the company's full Undelete recovery software package, Emergency Undelete is being released as a stand-alone product, which aims to save users from accidental file deletions.

Naveen Louis, technical support at Diskeeper says: “Emergency Undelete can be extremely useful for recovering files accidentally lost through a number of ways, such as: transferring data from your SD card; using shift-delete; files lost on USB sticks due to improper removal; recycle bin disabled for some reason or sometimes even the miraculously disappearing file.”

According to Diskeeper, accidentally deleting a file from a computer doesn't mean it is lost forever, as Emergency Undelete can be used to recover any file type; whether it is vital tax records, irreplaceable wedding photos, or just many hours of hard work saved in a simple word or excel document.

The company adds that because installing software on a computer can overwrite the deleted files you may want to recover and thereby make them unrecoverable, Emergency Undelete can be run directly from a CD-ROM or USB drive.
