Empower acquires Sage customer base

Sage North America has entered into an agreement with Empower, formerly Empagio, through which Empower has acquired Sage North America's tax compliance services business and enterprise-level customer base, says msnbc. Empower will provide outsourced tax compliance services to Sage Abra HRMS customers.

The business being acquired by Empower is currently marketed as Sage Compliance Services, and managed under Sage North America's Employer Solutions business unit.

The new relationship enables Sage to better leverage its core strength in delivering HR management system software and services for small and medium enterprises in North America, and allows Empower to provide important services to its customers and market.

Capella Healthcare, a hospital system with approximately 7 000 employees working at 14 hospitals in seven states, purchased UltiPro for HR, payroll, recruitment, and performance management delivered through Ultimate's software-as-a-service delivery model, Intersourcing, states FOX Business.

Capella Healthcare had been using multiple solutions and services for its human capital management processes, but required an integrated solution with comprehensive, end-to-end workforce management functionality to handle its increasingly complex needs and provide more sophisticated reporting capabilities.

Because the organisation's IT resources were limited, Capella sought a vendor that could manage the solution infrastructure, including applying version upgrades and handling day-to-day system and hardware maintenance.

Accero Software (formerly Cyborg Systems), a provider of payroll, HR and benefits management solutions, and MasterTax, a provider of payroll tax compliance software, have entered into an agreement that will enable Accero clients to access tax filing software and services from MasterTax, reports Sys-Con.

For nearly 35 years, Accero's Solution Series software has helped companies manage payroll, HR, and benefits administration.

With the MasterTax partnership, Accero will now offer customers an option to automate the scheduling, paying, balancing, and filing of their payroll taxes using MasterTax software.
