Enlist taking Africa by storm

Johannesburg, 15 Sep 2006

Enlist HR Solutions launched its e-learning in the form of a LMS (Learning Management System) and signed up over 200 students within the first month.

Elmarie Jordaan, CEO of Enlist, is thrilled by the success attained by her team. "They worked hard to achieve this milestone," says Jordaan. "Although we have set challenging targets, judging by the current rate of new enrolments inspired partly by referrals from satisfied trainees, we anticipate exceeding them by a substantial margin."

According to Louis Joubert, Strategic Accounts Director, the LMS can improve human capital effectiveness within any organisation. "These training courses are available to individuals as well as corporate organisations on a global scale. There is an assessment upon completion of these courses and certificates are issued to successful students. All course material was developed by international experts in their field and all these courses are being used globally, therefore students can feel confident about their qualifications being of the highest standards internationally," Joubert continued.

Enlist HR Solutions is responsible for establishing African and European channels, and is the leading provider of an enterprise e-learning solution. As sole distributor for 47 countries, Enlist has been selected to power its online delivery of training and professional education for various institutions, including companies such as jobs.co.za, Manna and the Business School of South Africa.

Continuing education and professional development are critical factors to Enlist. All Enlist employees are required to keep up-to-date with regulatory policies and procedures for all the countries they represent, as well as maintaining an understanding of the technical background of the product.

Many corporate organisations seek to expand the skills of their employees with regards to business, project management, communication, quality and financial management. "We use a Top Class E-Learning suite, Knovada, to deliver our 3 200 online courses, with interactive video, voice over and text. We also develop tailor-made courseware to provide our clients with a uniquely and comprehensively blended learning solution," states Jordaan. "In addition, we also provide the facility to process credit card, cheques and purchase order payments. This offers a secure payment system integrated with a choice of credit card payment and verification."

According to its clients, Enlist`s e-Learning Suite was chosen because of its fast deployment, impressive content management capabilities, scalability and ease of publishing existing content. The e-Learning Suite allows clients to enjoy a single tool capable of managing their entire training delivery. Clients can look forward to rapid adoption throughout their organisations, anticipate increased productivity, better quality of delivery, and can expect significant reduction in training costs which in turn leads to a very positive ROI.

Enlist invested in its own hosting environment geared towards the end-user market to give people the opportunity to invest in their own skills development and future. This would not have been possible in the traditional LMS environment as such a solution would cost in excess of R45 million. Enlist sees this as an integral contribution to its community development programme as the system can handle 4 500 concurrent users at any given moment in time.

"Our recruitment division is now viewed as one of the world`s leading suppliers of human capital solutions, which includes the pre-eminent launching of an Internet career portal, Profiled IT People, based in New Zealand," Jordaan continued. "Our portfolio and reach among job seekers and employers establishes our position as an essential channel for career management and finding talent. Our various business partnerships offer strategic opportunities and operational synergies. As we move forward with the integration, we will leverage efficiencies from our newly combined services and scale, with our combination of recruitment and training. In corporate solutions, this will translate to staff retention and development. Our strong global presence will be expanded by the increased breadth and depth of services."

"Enlist cultivated a unique niche in the career services and recruitment industry. Our team is excited about working with this new marketplace for job seekers, students, employers and training institutions. Our new service offering and profile now provides us with enormous opportunities for cross-selling our services, and for global and regional growth. This is an exciting new chapter for us and I`m excited to bring our talents and services across to the deserving market," Jordaan added.

Enlist recently opened a branch in Colorado USA and holds a Certificate of Good Standing issued on 4 August 2006. According to Jordaan: "This is a true reflection of where Enlist and its staff are taking the company. With the ethics and service we uphold, we hope to expand to various other countries in the near future. The purpose of the branch in the US is to create visibility and expand our services to other parts of the world." Other benefits of this new branch include inter-company transfers and to offer the same services to the US that we currently offer to South Africa, Africa, Europe and Australia.

Jordaan concluded that by opening a branch in Colorado, Enlist would be able to customise solutions to the specific requirements and content applicable to the USA, while providing telephonic and on-site support per the normal business hours of operations within the country. Our US-based location will likewise facilitate the continuing addition of training content to our suite of e-learning solutions since the largest content providers of training material reside in the US."

Enlist has been awarded with APSO Membership and aligns itself with APSO`s regulatory codes of operational conduct and with the mission of the Association, which shall inter alia be to: ensure the continuous professional development of members; assess the welfare needs of members; plan, organise and implement initiatives to protect members; uplift the image of the labour recruitment industry; embody the principles of democracy, empowerment, self-reliance, sustainability; co-ordination and facilitate training efforts; and to share experiences with stakeholders.
