Enterprise Connection acquires shareholding in top Microsoft developer, nVisionIT

Johannesburg, 01 Mar 2005

Enterprise Connection, the national black-owned IT infrastructure and software-licensing provider, has acquired a 25.1% equity stake in specialised Microsoft .Net business solution provider nVisionIT.

nVisionIT will benefit from Enterprise Connection`s well-developed infrastructure and relationships, and afford it significant BEE status. In return, Enterprise Connection now has direct access to the development of enterprise business solutions on the Microsoft .Net platform.

The new combined company can deliver a far more comprehensive solution set to the customer.

Group Managing Director of Enterprise Connection, Paul Moses, says: "While at present hardware and software revenues dominate, we are aiming to increase the consulting, architecture and application development portion to better balance our revenue mix."

The combined force is now one of only three players in the industry to cover the total Microsoft competency ranging from licensing compliancy, software asset management and back office integration skills, through to high-end application development, CRM and ERP integration, information portals and business intelligence."

nVisionIT is a company with strong management, a focus on innovation and a strict project management culture. A leader in solution architecture, its strong focus on innovation has positioned nVisionIT firmly ahead of its competitors. It has carved a niche for itself in developing highly customised IT solutions for companies. These qualities and a mutual business philosophy made this acquisition a very attractive one for Enterprise Connection. Some of the industry accolades awarded to nVisionIT includes Technology Top 100 Finalist, winner of the Microsoft .Net Solution Partner of the Year, winner of the Microsoft BizTalk 2004 Launch Partner of the Year and having achieved Microsoft Gold Partner Certification on Business Solutions Competency.

"This deal is mutually beneficial in terms of business leverage for a number of reasons," says Enterprise Connection`s Executive Director, Johan De Villiers. "The group`s prospects are now unlimited as we are able to offer clients an integrated IT and business solutions proposition. Enterprise Connection has crucial advantages that include human resources, financial systems and group financing, not to mention blue chip relationships with major corporate and government players through our national sales teams. And as a true black-owned company, we can provide nVisionIT with access to all markets, allowing them to focus on their core competency, which is product development."

"The company cultures are hugely synergetic and through their individual strengths will help to create an organisation that delivers customised solutions to our shared existing and prospective customer base," concludes nVisionIT Managing Director, Graham van Zijl.
