Enterprise Connection aims for enterprise-wide infrastructure using Keyflow

Johannesburg, 23 Feb 1999

Enterprise Connection - a leading business solutions provider - is constantly striving to establish an enterprise-wide systems infrastructure to facilitate a single composite view of a company`s operations and business processes.

With this aim in mind, Enterprise Connection uses Keyfile Corporation`s Keyflow workflow management software to deliver desired results.

Enterprise Connection is integrating the software with its Onyx Customer Care systems and Solomon IV management systems - all Microsoft-based product solutions - to effectively streamline its core business processes and enhance customer service.

"The intention is to enable these and other strategic applications to work seamlessly off two Sequel databases in order to eliminate any duplication of data and unnecessary steps in the workflow process," says Paul Moses, MD of the Connection Group`s Solutions Division.

"It will also mean that users across our company networks will be able to get a complete view of company operations and drill down from the desktop to access whatever information they need," he continues.

"From a customer service perspective, this will allow us to accurately track the exact status of orders and respond immediately to any customer queries so that we can be sure of maintaining an exceptionally high service standard.

"From a financial management perspective, it will enable a similar level of performance efficiency, with the result that we should be able to significantly improve cash flow," added Moses.

All three products are sold in South Africa by Enterprise Connection. The company is one of the leading turnkey business solution providers in South Africa, and a member of the Connection Group.

As Moses comments: "Integrating Keyflow with the Onyx and Solomon systems within our own internal business systems environment demonstrates just how much faith we have in the products and solutions we offer our clients."

A world-leading workflow solution, Keyflow enables professionals to easily visualise and automate existing business processes, monitor their progress, and modify them in real time to improve efficiency and respond rapidly to changing business needs.

The system combines Keyfile Corporation`s award winning workflow software technology with the robust information management and communications infrastructure provided by Microsoft Exchange Server.

This is its real strength, says Moses. "The system integrates seamlessly into the Microsoft Exchange environment, taking advantage of Microsoft Exchange`s comprehensive information management and communications infrastructure," he explains.

"Users can then work with Keyflow directly through Outlook`s or Microsoft Exchange`s graphical user interface to compose, address, monitor and control workflows in order to eliminate bottlenecks, streamline the process and keep the work moving."

The combination provides the most critical elements needed for automating business processes, namely: the ability for any user to graphically map a business process and create a workflow that automates that business process; the ability for authorised users throughout an organisation to quickly view the status of workflow processes; and the ability to interconnect departmental workflow processes across an entire enterprise locally, nationally or internationally.

It also provides exceptionally strong reporting, customisation and integration features, as well as Internet deployment and Web support via Microsoft Outlook`s Web Access.
