iSolve Business Solutions actively supports government's broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) strategy through major focus on skills development initiatives, which it believes drives the future of the country. This is clearly demonstrated by the recent graduation of 27 black owner/employees of SME organisations through iSolve's Enterprise Development Programme.
iSolve has been running skills development initiatives for many years to uplift the level and number of black IT skills in the market. The training includes ABET desktop training, soft skills training as well as specialised technical training.
Its latest initiative has been focused specifically on enterprise development (ED). iSolve sourced 27 ED beneficiaries from the Institute of Enterprise Development (IED) and the Softstart Business and Technology Incubator, who were invited to attend certified desktop and specialised technical training free of charge, all costs covered by iSolve. The owners and employees of these black-owned SME organisations derived immense benefit by this training, which will enable them to further develop their own small businesses.
Business owners are on training in iSolve's hi-tech classroom in Sunninghill, Sandton.
The Institute of Enterprise Development (IED) is a support organisation that operates in the area of enterprise development specifically as pertaining to the B-BBEE codes of good practice. The IED endeavours to assist with and implement successful enterprise development and support solutions by offering superior products, services and systems to the SME market.
They reduce the risk and increase the return on investment for companies that spend money on enterprise development. The IED uses proprietary electronic tools to select and assess beneficiaries and their businesses to identify the specific constraints, issues and limitations that threaten these enterprises. The interventions are targeted at removing these threats, thereby facilitating access to the mainstream economy and ensuring their profitability. This process empowers companies to make informed decisions when investing funds for enterprise development.
According to Himal Ramjee, Director at iSolve: “It was an extremely humbling and fulfilling experience to assist these delegates to gain valuable IT skills that will help them to grow their business and thus the IT skills base in the country. This is just the start of our enterprise development initiatives for the future and we look forward to welcoming many more SME business owners as we assist them to achieve valuable business and IT skills.”
iSolve is currently in the process of finalising a short and long-term B-BBEE strategy to form part of the business plan, which will continue to include ICT skills development programmes, benefiting all industries and specifically uplifting ICT skills.
