Enterprise workflow partnerships: A StEP in the right direction

Johannesburg, 24 Jul 2001

Staffware, a business process automation vendor, has introduced its StEP (Staffware Enterprise Partnership) programme designed to meet the needs of its customers who wish to implement Staffware`s products enterprise-wide to transform their mission-critical business processes.

Says Mark Ehmke, managing director of Staffware SA: "It is of paramount importance to a company that wishes to invest in an enterprise-wide software solution to maximise its return on investment in the technology. Staffware`s StEP programme is structured to give its customers confidence that their commitment is directly matched and complemented by their software partner, giving them the relevant benefits for their level of workflow implementation."

There are five different levels to the StEP programme, each based on the total number of users engaged in the workflow process throughout the organisation. As the number of users increases, so do the benefits associated with each level.

At the entry-level, StEP entitles customers to volume discounts, leasing options, standard and premier support, while at the other end of the scale, platinum status additionally encompasses 24 x 7 support, inclusion on Staffware`s advisory board, director level account management, free software upgrades and professional services benefits and discounts.

Says Ehmke: "Membership of the Staffware Advisory Board guarantees that future releases are in line with the StEP customer`s needs and requirements. By empowering our clients, our future developments are enhanced and beta programs are offered to StEP partners for assessment. Participation under non-disclosure gives the StEP client access to Staffware`s planned strategic directions and the detailed functional specifications of Staffware`s product roadmap."

Director level account management encourages a commitment within the Staffware organisation to achieving successful and rapid roll-out of the customer`s workflow applications, with regular management review meetings.

Professional service benefits for gold and platinum StEP customers include guaranteed service and training within five working days, ensuring availability of resources when required throughout the project, at discounts commensurate with the customer`s commitment.

Ehmke concludes: "The correct combination of workflow technology, technical expertise and senior management commitment will help transform our customers` business processes faster and so achieve their business and technical goals sooner."
