Envent Holdings has released the third version of its digital communications suite, Ensight.
Envent Holdings product and marketing director John Ginsberg says while many companies have built large Web sites, many don`t have the time and resources to keep them up-to-date and active, let alone use them to build and maintain customer relationships.
"Ensight3 allows the user to manage content and workflow from the site, make forms, gather data and profile customers but also allows the user to pre-program their site with e-mail and SMS triggers and response mechanisms which will take care of the drudge work of maintaining a site," he says.
This includes an auto-responder that e-mails customers when they complete a form, followed by an automatic follow-up seven days later. Ginsberg says an e-mail reminder is sent to the user`s sales staff at the same time to follow up the lead to ensure that no customer is lost.
The software also helps companies that find it hard to generate regular content to keep their site fresh with a content syndication system that generates a list of headlines from thousands of sources.
Ginsberg says Ensight was developed locally using the open source scripting language PHP, and can therefore be installed on multiple operating systems and connect to many different database configurations. The use of open source software also makes the cost of ownership much cheaper for the user, he says.
The page builder add-on allows the user to build a site from scratch without having to do any coding or convert an existing site to take advantage of the benefits of automation, he adds.
