EOH, one of South Africa`s largest consulting, technology and outsourcing companies listed on the software and computer services sector of the JSE, has acquired local Siebel house, Implement IT.
Effective 1 October 2006, the deal enables EOH`s Oracle division, Navigor, to offer a full set of Oracle solutions and is also in line with Oracle`s international application strategy.
"Navigor is a strong Oracle partner. We have been awarded the Implementation Partner of the Year award for five consecutive years and the addition of Implement IT`s CRM skill set will only further strengthen our position in the market," says Ken Cullinan, executive director, EOH.
Implement IT will form part of the Navigor stable and will be branded Navigor CRM. The move is in line with Oracle`s international acquisition of Siebel and Cullinan says it will enable Navigor to provide a comprehensive range of enterprise solutions based on the Oracle platform and technology.
Perry Velalis, managing director, Implement IT, says the move is good for his business. "The international acquisition of Siebel by Oracle necessitated a repositioning of my business and the offer from EOH made complete sense."
He says that not only was EOH`s status as a leading business and technology solutions provider in Africa appealing, but the company has an impressive BEE status and provides the critical mass Velalis would like for his new business venture. "The existing customer base and nationwide reach EOH offers will open new doors for us. For the past six years we were a single-product focused boutique operation and now we can offer our services to a far broader target audience."
From a Navigor perspective, Velalis says Implement IT will provide the company with a valuable front office application experience, which complements its existing skills and completes it Oracle offering.
Velalis will continue running the business and his team of 30 will move to Navigor`s offices at EOH in Bedfordview.
