A specialist in enterprise-wide business systems, listed in the software and computer services sector of the JSE, EOH Limited, today announced positive results for the year ended 31 July 2003.
Revenues increased by 54%, to R 176 million, and net profit was R14.4 million, an increase of 20% compared with the previous year.
"The consistent application of our business model and strategy are proving successful and we intend to continue therewith. The major investment made in new services and product offerings combined with our existing business as well as our large customer base make us a leader in the enterprise software arena," says EOH CEO Asher Bohbot.
"Our strategy has not changed. Long-term relationships with our clients lie at the heart of our business and we attribute our success to our ability to interpret customers` evolving needs and to leverage technology to provide real business solutions. A major objective for the future will be to focus on our human capital development, which we see as our main differentiator," says Bohbot.
EOH recently issued a cautionary announcement, advising shareholders of the intended acquisition of Atos KPMG Consulting (Pty) Ltd.
"Further to the pending agreement between EOH and Atos KPMG Consulting, the joining of forces and the amalgamation of operations will position us as a leading business and technology solution provider," says Bohbot.
Both companies are similar in size and will boast a combined staff complement of over 600 professionals as well as a collective five local, regional offices including operations in African countries and Australia. The business will gain hundreds of already established clients to whom a new range of services can be offered. The international brand `Atos KPMG Consulting` will give the business global reach, international connectivity and the reference-ability necessary to play at the top end of the market.
The acquisition is dependent on the necessary regulatory approvals, which includes those of the Securities Regulation Panel, the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa and the Competitions Commission South Africa.
"We also continue to place black economic empowerment as a business priority, addressing transformation from an equity, strategic, managerial and operational level," concludes Bohbot.
