JSE-listed EOH announced today that it has signed an IT outsourcing deal with SA Rugby (PTY) Ltd. As part of the 12-month agreement, EOH`s Managed Services division in the Western Cape region will manage SA Rugby`s current enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, business processes and IT infrastructure. The deal involves a dedicated EOH technical consultant based full-time at SA Rugby`s headquarters in Newlands, Cape Town.
"IT is not our core capability and it makes sense for us to build a strong relationship with a trusted partner who has the capabilities to manage our IT infrastructure and systems for us," says Lorraine Hlapolosa, Manager for Corporate Services at SA Rugby.
"EOH has a solid track-record and we have worked with them previously for the implementation of our current ERP and business intelligence systems. We awarded the deal to the EOH team because we wanted to consolidate our IT operation. Additionally, EOH presented the best service model and has a staff complement with diverse technical skills that we require," says Hlapolosa.
EOH Managed Services will be responsible for the support and management of SA Rugby`s complete IT infrastructure. This will include hardware and software management, network security, network performance, disaster recovery planning, vendor relationship management, general user support, service delivery management and contract management. In addition, the EOH management team will assist SA Rugby with its future IT budgeting requirements by making recommendations for improvement.
