Esquire Technologies, one of southern Africa' s leading distributors of computer hardware and peripheral products, announced today that it has acquired the exclusive agency from Taiwan-based Kingmax Semiconductor Inc to distribute a leading global range of memory modules for desktop, server and mobile computing.
Kingmax Semiconductor Inc, founded in 1989, is listed among Taiwan's Top 150 manufacturers, maintaining 10 sales offices throughout four continents.
According to Asgar Mahomed, Managing Director of Esquire: "We are delighted to have been awarded the Kingmax agency which has been coveted by several South African companies, as it brings affordable but high quality memory products to our market.
"The key feature of Kingmax memory is that it is totally compatible with leading motherboard platforms, which is a high priority in the marketplace. The entire Kingmax range will be available in November 2003. This includes DDR memory for desktop, notebook and server modules, as well as a full range of memory cards, such as Secure Digital (SD), Compact Flash (CF), Multimedia Cards (MMC), Smart Media (SM) and the full range of flash storage devices.
