Leading distributor of IT and digital lifestyle products, Esquire Technologies today announced the arrival of the next-generation LED (light emitting diode) monitors, the new G Series 19-inch W G920WL (16:10) and the 18.5-inch W G922HDAL and V series, the Full HD 1080p respectively, the world's first 18.5-inch LED wide-screen monitors from BenQ, to the South African market.
The new BenQ G and V series Eco LED wide-screen displays are expected to set new benchmarks in performance and environmentally friendly status. By employing LED backlighting, the G series offers brilliant visuals that enhance productivity and eye comfort in the workplace. Most notably, both G and V series exhibit zero light leakage, enabling an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio (DCR) of 5 million:1.
Visual excellence is further enhanced by BenQ's patented Senseye 3 Human Vision Technology, which offers one-touch optimisation of image richness, clarity and depth using preset modes calibrated to specific applications: standard (office and Internet), movies (DVD and TV), game, photo, sRGB (for 100% colour consistency across all sRGB devices), and Eco (for power-savings).
“Lookin' great” not only when it comes to visual splendour, but also to energy conservation and environmental sustainability, while the G Series gives dual meaning to “eco-friendly” by being both an ecologically responsible and an economically practical product.
LED technology also enables the G series to use substantially less energy (approximately 60% less in G922HDAL model) than CCFL displays of the same screen size. Additionally, the G series increases office productivity by enabling simultaneous viewing of multiple applications on the large wide-screen formats.
The aspect ratio on the G922HDAL model makes side-by-side viewing of office documents easy and comfortable, while the G922HDAL model is perfect for undistorted viewing of HDTV and HD movies.
Commenting on the launch of new products, Asgar Mahomed, Managing Director of Esquire Technologies, said: “Just as LCD technology revolutionised the cathode ray tube display industry, the application of LED backlighting is anticipated to set new benchmarks in IT displays and initiate a positive purchase momentum in the overall LCD monitor market, which is ideal for audiovisual entertainment and graphic applications.
“As customers are becoming more price sensitive, the concept of offering a suitable product at a reasonable price is gaining popularity, and the development of this trend is quite evident from the absence of some high-end applications in LED monitors.”
Mahomed added: “The BenQ range of LED monitors will certainly steal the limelight as they have significantly improved contrast ratio and reaction time, as well as the energy-saving features. BenQ is definitely going to lead the charge and set new benchmarks in mounting LED display revolution.”
