Since the inception of Eurobyte Technology's surveillance department in 2007, the company's contribution to the industry has grown exponentially.
Partnerships with top tier DVR manufacturer, Dahua Security, as well as analogue camera manufacturer, AVTech, allowed Eurobyte to refresh the surveillance industry by introducing its unique sales approach.
With the success of Eurobyte's venture into the analogue surveillance market, it decided to expand its venture into the larger and more lucrative IP surveillance market. In October 2010, Eurobyte Technology reached an agreement, to become an official distributor in South Africa for Geovision, a global leader in IP surveillance manufacturing and distribution. Geovision offers a diverse product line with industry-leading technologies and years of accumulated digital surveillance systems design experience.
This partnership proved to be a stroke of genius, not only because of Geovision's range of full IP solutions, but also because they were able to integrate with analogue systems. This fitted perfectly with Eurobyte's existing CCTV business model.
Over the years that passed, Eurobyte's Surveillance range and expertise increased, especially with Geovision. On the analogue side, the range includes standalone and PC-based DVRs, PTZ, bullet, done, box and hidden cameras, as well all necessary accessories; while the Geovision IP range now boasts full licence plate recognition solutions, PC and mobile DVRs and NVRs, central monitoring station software, access control, point-of-sale surveillance, and all required cameras and software.
However, success can only be measured in the profitability of the business. With Eurobyte's outstanding range, expertise and advice, it has managed to secure a range of deals, which span through numerous industries. Its analogue systems and cameras have been installed in KFCs, Engen petrol stations, Pick n Pays, Shoprite/Checkers stores, Incredible Connection outlets, Toyota franchise dealerships, and the Hilton Hotel chain throughout KwaZulu-Natal, to name a few. Its IP venture has been amazingly successful over the last year, with fruitful deals with Transnet, McDonalds, Imperial group, The Spar Group and Eagle Canyon Estate.
This is but the tip of the iceberg. In four years, Eurobyte has managed commendable success in an extremely competitive market. The accomplishments it has achieved in such a short amount of time are truly a real success story.
