EUROCOM Mirage D870P Mobile Workstation: Extreme high-end platform for professional users, engineers, gamers

Eurocom Corporation, a manufacturer of high-end notebook computers, has launched a new notebook model featuring 256MB of superfast DDR video powered by the next generation of ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics card, Intel Pentium 4 Prescott processor up to 3.6GHz with 1MB L2 cache and two physical hard drives offering RAID technology.

Designed as an extreme high-end platform for professional users, engineers and gamers, the EUROCOM Mirage D870P model sets new standards for a mobile workstation category of notebook computers.

The EUROCOM Mirage D870P sporting a 17-inch WXGA (1440 x 900) and soon 17-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) widescreen display, offers users a 1 Gig LAN, 802.11b/g dual-mode wireless LAN, optional Bluetooth, up to 160GB of HDD space with two physical hard drives (5 400 or 7 200rpm) with RAID 0 and RAID 1 fault-tolerance system.

The fast performance is based on Intel Pentium 4 (Northwood) processor up to 3.20GHz, Intel Pentium 4 (Prescott) processor up to 3.60GHz or Intel Pentium 4 EXTREME processor with 2MB L2 cache up to 3.2GHz. The model supports up to 2GB of Dual Channel DDR400 memory with 64-bit wide DDR data channels.

ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 next generation card offers users 256MB DDR video memory, ensuring superb performance for high-end business, engineering and graphics applications such as 3D modelling or AutoCAD as well as gaming. Combined with the large 17-inch widescreen display, the D870P Mirage notebook allows users to work efficiently and comfortably with any spreadsheet or accounting application without having to scroll from left to right. Number crunching becomes an easy task with a 102-key desktop like keyboard with a separate numeric keypad. In the future, the D870P Mirage will offer support for OpenGL with a new ATI FireGL graphics card.

Additional features include: an integrated 1.3 Mega pixel internal Video Camera for video conferencing, an internal 6-in-1 Card Reader, and DVD-I Port for external digital monitors. High performance Sound-Blaster Pro compatible audio system with virtual 6-channel audio output, S/PDIF Digital output (5.1CH), four internal speakers with optional sub-woofer and optional TV-tuner with one S-Video input jack and one line-in jack for audio input make the new mobile workstation both a perfect business and entertainment system.

With the new high-end D870P Mirage model, Eurocom is expanding its line of the mobile workstation category of notebooks taking the concept of desktop replacement to the next level.
