Europe*Star, the London-based satellite operator, has approved a range of Patriot Ku-band antennas for use with its satellites.
These antennas, ranging in size from 90cm to 1.8m, are appropriate for satellite news gathering, private data networks, television broadcast services, and other satellite communications applications.
The models approved are:
TXFCC- 090KU (90cm Single Offset Ku Band Tx/Rx Antenna)
TXINT-100KU (100cm Single Offset Ku Band Tx/Rx Antenna)
TXINT-120KU (120cm Single Offset Ku Band Tx/Rx Antenna)
TXEUT-120KU (120cm Dual Offset Ku Band Tx/Rx Antenna)
TXINT- 180KU (180cm Single Offset Ku Band Tx/Rx Antenna)
The approval of these antennas assures Patriot`s customers and satellite integrators of easy registration of new earth stations with Europe*Star, because the performance characteristics and manufacturing tolerances of the antennas have already been verified. As a result, there is no requirement to test antennas on site, and commissioning becomes simpler and quicker.
Effective immediately, these antennas are approved for use with the Europe*Star satellites throughout all coverage areas - Europe, southern Africa, the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and South-East Asia.
