Topping the list of flatbed laser multi function centers, is the Brother MFC-8420. The laser printer performance is outstanding. It`s fast - up to 16 pages per minute, the quality is pin sharp - with up to 2400 x 600 dots per inch. There`s a generous 32Mb of memory as standard, with the option to upgrade. It features both PCL6 and BR-Script 3 emulations. There`s a choice of parallel, USB 2.0 and optional Network (for network printing, network scanning and network PC faxing), which means connectivity isn`t a problem. The MFC-8420 offers impressive laser fax performance, with a modem speed of 33.6kbps and the ability to fax bound documents using the fixed platen. A large "out of paper" and "fax transmission" memory facility, over 300 speed dial numbers and memory security, ensure that confidential means just that. Brother PC-Fax Software enables you to send and receive faxes directly from your PC. The flatbed design comfortably accommodates A4 originals and the Automatic Document Feeder is capable of handling up to 50 A4 sheets. This along with the stack, sort, reduce and enlarge functions make the MFC-8420 an impressive desktop copier. The increasingly popular colour scanning facility offers flexibility, by enabling you to scan directly to OCR, E-mail, Image or File. With the low cost per copy that laser offers as well as the option of a built-in Duplex unit on the MFC-8820D or built-in Duplex and Network on the MFC-8820DN, these Brother MFC`s will definitely become an essential communication tool.

Picking from the new range of colour ink jet MFC`s is a difficult task. Ranging from 12 to 16 pages per minute, sheet feed to flatbed, the features and functions are never ending. The MFC-890 however stands out, being the only Brother ink jet MFC with optional Network connectivity. With up to 16 pages per minute print speed in colour, up to 2400 x 1200dpi resolution in both mono and colour, 600 nozzles and 4 separate ink cartridges with impressive yields, the MFC-890 offers superb prints. Colour faxing with a 33.6kbps modem, 100 speed dials, up to 400 pages memory capacity, security features, remote setup and PC-Fax software, makes faxing a breeze. The A4 flatbed design, with stack, sort, reduce and enlarge functions and up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, takes care of your colour copies with ease. Fast scanning speeds and the ability to scan directly to OCR, E-mail, Image and with the optional Network card, to LAN, the MFC-890 effortlessly takes care to your scanning requirements. Another great feature of this machine is the PhotoCapture Centre. 3 slots for SmartMedia, Compact Flash(tm) and MemoryStick allow you print from your digital equipment without the use of a PC !!
