Adobe, Apple lock horns
Analysts have speculated that Apple's deliberate snub of Adobe Flash on the iPad could be part of a plot by Apple to buy Adobe, states Telegraph.co.uk.
However, Adobe chief executive Shantanu Narayen, who ironically began his career at Apple, says: "It's the future of mobile that's at stake here and there are different strategies that companies are taking. There are other companies that have chosen to say that the open eco-system is the way to go and that's how you would contrast Apple and Google's business models. We're on the side of the open."
Last year, Adobe's net income was $387 million on revenues of $2.95 billion. Last month, Adobe acquired content management firm Day Software.
