Facebook deletes iPhone apps
Some iPhone developers that make apps for Facebook got quite a surprise when their developer credentials had been deleted, without warning, leaving their apps and customers high and dry, reports CNET News.
All Facebook developers have their own set of credentials so their apps can communicate with the APIs provided by the company.
When iPhone apps contact Facebook, the site responds and recognises the developers' credentials, allowing the apps to do their intended jobs. Without those credentials, apps error out.

IBM intros Power 7 developer tools
IBM has unveiled application development tooling to help IBM Power Systems users with an AIX environment maximise their software development experience on the systems, and help smooth the way to building iPhone applications from green screen apps, says eWeek.
The solutions, which include 'first time' capabilities for the AIX community, can increase workload productivity up to 30% and eliminate the need to rewrite applications to take advantage of the advanced processing speed of IBM Power 7 processor-based systems, say IBM officials.
The capabilities complement new IBM Power System blades and help clients reap the benefits of IBM's $3 billion investment in developing systems that slash costs and are ready for new advancements in IT.
