Facebook invites votes on

Facebook members will get a chance to vote for or against the company's revised documents later this month, states PC World.

The elections will be held between 16 and 23 April via a Facebook application developed by Wildfire, while Ernst & Young will audit the results.

Facebook gave its 175 million-plus members 30 days to submit feedback regarding the governing concepts and the popular social networking site plans to draft and adopt. That feedback period ended on 29 March and Facebook received comments from fewer than 4 000 members.

Refinery implements GRC solution

HPCL-Mittal Energy (HMEL), a player in the crude oil refining and finished petroleum products space, has implemented SAP's ERP solution for governance, risk and compliance, reports CXO Today.

The company says SAP's experience in the Indian oil and gas sector made it a natural choice to consolidate and standardise HMEL's business processes.

Ranjan Das, managing director, SAP Indian subcontinent, says: “Recognising the regulatory requirements and operational complexity of this industry, HMEL is taking on a leadership position by making strategic investments in enterprise applications that drive business efficiency”.
