World Media Distributors, a fully integrated IPTV solutions provider, announced today that it will distribute FastSoft's network acceleration hardware in South Africa, to speed delivery of streaming and downloaded video. FastSoft's E Series accelerators speed TCP traffic two to five times, enhancing data transfers, especially for rich media like VOD video.

FastSoft's VP of Marketing, Dan Henderson, said that World Media Distributors chose the FastSoft solution in part due to its low-cost deployment. “The E Series requires no software installation at the server or client, so it is incredible easy to implement,” said Dan Henderson. “ISPs don't have to rewrite any software or distribute code updates to the set-top box.”
